Avory Faucette
Avory Faucette is a Staff Writer for Gender Across Borders. Zie is a queer, genderqueer, radical feminist activist as well as a writer, editor, and blogger. Zie graduated from the University of Iowa with a JD in 2009, focusing on international human rights and gender/sexuality issues in the law. Zie is published in the Journal of Gender, Race, and Justice and hir work will appear in two upcoming anthologies. Avory blogs at Radically Queer, as well as writing the Relating Radically column and serving as webmaster for Girl w/ Pen. Hir newest project is the Queer Feminism website.
Avory is currently the Director of Operations for the National Center for Transgender Equality, and previously worked on health and health policy as Outreach Coordinator at the National Research Center for Women & Families.
